There is a funny story about this post. I wasn't planning on posting these photos at all to the blog because I don't really like them. But I didn't post on Wednesday so I'm feeling like a huge slacker. I didn't have much time to get them done because the sun was setting so there isn't my usual array of photos. I did stand in front of some crazy sprinklers haha. In a way, that seems almost appropriate because of the tornadoes last night.
Anyways, yesterday afternoon I was going to head to the park to photograph an outfit I've been wearing a lot.... but then we got a tornado warning. I've lived in this state long enough that I've seen my fair share of tornado warnings. But recently the sirens have gone off a lot more this spring/summer. And last night was no exception.
So as a responsible person I headed to the stairwell. After a while I headed down to the first floor to see what was going on outside. Let me tell you, I have NEVER seen rain so horizontal! Apparently some people saw the tornado forming outside, which is pretty terrifying. So, I stayed in the stairwell for a good hour or so as the storm passed by. We lost our power for the majority of the night so that was fun (/sarcasm).
It was definitely not how I wanted to spend my Thursday evening.
I suppose I should talk about this outfit a little bit. I picked up this jumpsuit from Target a few weeks ago. It's actually a children's jumpsuit! But I thought it was really cute and it fit me so that was really the main selling point here. It's also the most comfortable piece of clothing I own right now. It's hard for me not to wear it every weekend.
My sandals are also children's shoes (lol oops). I'm a very petite person and it can be really hard to find clothes but hooray for children's clothes becoming more fashionable!
Jumpsuit: Target (children's)
Shoes: Target (old)
Have you ever experienced any tornadoes or crazy weather??
Let me know in the comments!
