Style inspiration: Haim (Music)

Another style inspiration post from a band but I just can't help it! Two of my favorite things combined in one post: music and personal style.

Haim is a rock band made up of 3 sisters based in Los Angeles, California. I've actually been listening to them since their first EP came out in 2013. They're an upbeat pop-rock band with great lyrics and catchy melodies. They've actually become quite the stars and becoming friends with the likes of Taylor Swift! They even won a grammy for best up and coming artist! My favorite song by them is currently Running if you call my name: here.

Not only am I a fan of their music but also their style! I am quite jealous of their long, luscious locks but maybe I'll get there one day! Haha. I'd classify their look as a mix of edgy, classic rocker style with vintage pieces mixed in.

It's a short post for today but let me know what you think in the comments below!
Have you ever listened to Haim?

Style Inspiration: Stevie Nicks (Music)

Last week I talked about some musicians who inspired me because of their 70s inspired looks (First Aid Kit) but today I'm bringing to you the Queen of the 70s: Stevie Nicks.

For those who don't know, Stevie Nicks is (was?) the iconic front woman of Fleetwood Mac. She was also (and still is) a style icon - especially considering the rise of the 70s right now. She perfected the art of draping velvet, flowy dresses, lace, and bell bottoms.

(Billboard magazine)

I couldn't find a whole lot of photos that weren't copyrighted but these are just a few instances of her killer style. I mean, come on, the sleeves on that red dress?? Yes, please. But to sum up her style - lots of velvet, lace, chiffon, floor length dresses, and turtlenecks. Pretty much everything I am digging right now.

That's all I have for today but let me know what you think in the comments below! Do you like Fleetwood Mac?
