Birchbox vs. Sephora PLAY! / Video

I've noticed two things recently.
1. I have been putting out a lot of video content
2. A lot of my content has not been style related.

I can explain why. When I started editing my vlog of Canada (I've been working on it for months!) I realized how much I LOVE making videos. I like every aspect of it. I love filming and editing so why not keep exploring this passion? I'm currently working on an "alternative" apartment tour of sorts. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Another reason I haven't had much fashion content lately is due to some health problems I've been having lately. Normally I'd go out and shoot my outfits on the weekends really early in the morning but I've been spending my weekends resting as much as possible. I am hoping the fatigue will be gone soon as I love fall fashion and want to show you guys what I've been wearing!

Anyways, do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?

Valentine's Day Makeup

I don't normally do holiday related posts but I figured I might as well try one out! I am also not a huge celebrator of Valentine's day but  I like pink eyeshadows so why not?

Top Three Budget Fall Nail Polishes

I've been meaning to do more beauty posts on my blog but for some reason they always take a backseat to outfit posts and videos. I guess it's because I don't have a huge beauty collection or anything like that. However, I do love a good bit of nail polish. So, today I thought I'd talk to you about my top fall nail polishes!

Accessorizing 101: T-shirt and Jeans

Hello!
Today I'm bringing something a little different! I wanted to talk about how to transform a t-shirt and jeans into a really beautiful outfit!

I started out with my light wash skinny jeans from American Eagle and a plan baseball tee from Urban Outfitters. (wait, what - i didn't thrift anything for this outfit! but wait!)

To make this outfit a little more interesting than your basic t-shirt and jeans I added a fun floral kimono and the necklace from my last post! I've featured this kimono before but I think it can look fantastic with simple skinny jeans as well! It's also perfect for this time of year because it can still be hot where I am and this kimono is so light and airy!

I think adding a few accessories - like a necklace or a lightweight kimono can add vibrancy to an otherwise dull outfit! For the fall I'd definitely trade out the lightwash denim for a darker wash and perhaps something with some rips! I think this type of outfit can work for any time of year.

I absolutely adore this skinny jeans because of the detailing on the sides! Isn't it stunning? It's also really subtle and delicate, which I think definitely goes along with this outfit!

Let me know what you think of the outfit I created in the comments below!

Simple Everyday Make-up

Hello!

Today I'm bringing my first Friday beauty post with my simple everyday make-up routine! I will preface in saying I am in no way a "beauty guru" but I enjoy it and I like wearing this simple look. So - if you'd like to see how I get this look keep on reading!

First I take my Up and Up SPF facial moisturizer, which I've talked about before. Not too exciting of a step and then because it's summer (and I just discovered this step) I add a primer. I've been using the Cover Outlast Primer, which I think works great! I've never used a primer before but this one really keeps my BB cream in place even when it's 100 degrees outside. So as I'm sure you can guess - I add a BB cream. I've been using the Covergirl BB cream with SPF 21. I think it's really nice for the summer time, with pretty minimal coverage so if you're looking for high coverage this product isn't it! but I think it's a simple no fuss product. And yes, in the photo it doesn't look like it'll work for my skin tone but it does! I use light to medium right now because I'm outside a lot more.

After that I just add the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Creamy Natural. I used to use the translucent one but I like this one because it covers redness, which I definitely have a problem with. I then just add a litle bit of blush and I always use the Clinique all over color in 01 Peony. I've been looking for a drugstore dupe because I love that it's a blush and very faint highlight but I haven't found one yet - so if you have any suggestions let me know!

After that I just take the Revealed 2 Palette by Coastal Scents and I'm using this shimmery brown shade all over my crease and lid. i do it pretty haphazardly because I find this shade to be pretty mess free and easy to work with. As for brushes I just use two Ecotools brushes - one is supposed to be for concealer and the fluffy one is an eyeshadow brush. I got both of them in a great set!

Then I'm just going to draw a thin line with my Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner Pen, (i know - my eyeliner isn't the best but what can ya do??) which I used to not enjoy but I have been reaching for it lately! Then I use my usual Clinique High Impact Mascara, which gives my lashes great volume and length!

I don't always wear lipstick but for the sake of this post I thought I would! I chose a clinique lipstick in the shade Shy, which looks a lot darker than it really is! It's actually very sheer and light - perfect for summer.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this sumple everyday make up routine!
