How to: the oversized boyfriend shirt.
Saturday, October 24, 2015
As a really petite person I try and stay away from oversized items. Maxi skirts/dresses, oversized sweaters, etc all tend to swallow me up. But I found this oversized pinstriped shirt from a yardsale for 50c. and for some reason I felt compelled to try it out. It was actually labeled a large but I decided to go for it because it didn't look too long for me.
I believe this shirt is a women's shirt but it reminded me of all the posts and trends going around about wearing your boyfriend's clothes (which I don't have) so here is my take on it!

Striped Sweater, Burgundy Skirt
Thursday, October 22, 2015
I've been trying to make a point of going on walks everyday and I happened upon this nature trail near my house. I'm really happy I found this trail and I'm excited to keep photographing here for upcoming blog posts! I'm pretty happy with how these photos turned out.
Anyways - the outfit.

Vintage Orange and Navy
Tuesday, October 20, 2015
I think Fall is finally here in the south and I am so excited. I forgot how great it feels to spend time outside and not melt! What a novel idea huh? While it wasn't cold enough to wear tights I did decide it was time to break out a sweater or two and prepare for the colder months ahead. But I feel like this outfit is very appropriate for October - especially considering halloween is just around the corner!

Casual Sunday Outfit
Sunday, October 18, 2015
I love getting ready in the morning. Obviously, as a fashion blogger it's one of my favorite parts of my day. I love coming up with different outfit ideas and seeing them come together. But sometimes - I love putting on a good comfortable shirt, skinny jeans, and some sneakers. It's one of the things I feel most comfortable in - the most 'me' outfit if you will. And Sunday's are normally my comfy outfit days - so I thought I'd show you!

Camel Cardigan
Wednesday, October 14, 2015
I have never been into brown that much until recently. Camel is becoming huge this season and now I think I understand why. I seem to be reaching for it a lot more - plus I've got a couple of brown loafers that I love to pull out when it hits fall time.
Vintage Skirt, Denim Shirt
Monday, October 12, 2015
It is sadly still not as chilly as I'd like to be in the South. I can still get by wearing a skirt without tights and I hardly needed this denim button up as a jacket. I'm getting pretty tired of it. But alas, here is one of my favorite outfits for fall featuring my most beloved vintage skirt.

How to: Florals for Fall
Monday, October 5, 2015
In case you didn't know - I'm from the East Coast in the United States. And because of some very serious hurricanes coming through It's been raining here every single day for the past week! Today was the first time I've been able to take outfit posts for this week! And the weather hasn't even been that great for taking photos - overcast. A photographers worst nightmare. Ahh so behind! But anyways - the outfit.
Floral isn't really a print people associate with Autumn/Winter. But I love wearing florals all year round. Some of my favorite prints are ones with black undertones, which I think go perfectly for fall. They aren't too bright but they still appeal to my floral needs in my wardrobe.

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

Grid Print Dress
Monday, September 28, 2015
While you are reading this - I am coming home from a trip to Arkansas! I know, Arkansas doesn't sound too exciting but I went to college there it will always hold my heart~~ but anyways.
I've been looking for a grid print dress for a really long time. I am so on board with the grid print trend and I think I'll definitely be wearing it when it's not "trendy" anymore. (But I do that all the time let's be honest) So, I found the perfect one at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago!

Army Green
Wednesday, September 23, 2015
Green is by far my favorite color. However, I don't own a whole lot of it in regards to clothes. (Now if you saw my room it would be a different story!) I don't know why that is though. But since it is finally fall I decided to whip out some army green for the changing seasons. If only the weather would listen - it is still boiling in the South! I'm over it.
Anyways - the outfit.

The Maxi Skirt
Saturday, September 12, 2015
Hello!
I'm back with another outfit post.
I also have very exciting news - I got a new camera lens! I decided on the Nikon 35mm and I am LOVING it so far. It really is an incredible lens. I'll probably do an in-depth review in the coming weeks but so far I am obsessed with it! F1.8? yes, PLEASE! It might take me a little while to get the hang of it so please hang in there photo wise on my blog! I also ordered a remote control so that should help a lot!
Anyways - onto the outfit! Sorry if the lighting is off - had to photograph inside because it was pouring rain!
I've never found a maxi skirt that fits me (I'm only 4'9"!) as they tend to swallow me. I found this beautiful sheer purple one while I was thrifting a while back and I love it! Now that the weather is cooling down I find myself reaching for it a lot. Because it is so sheer I just wear a basic black skirt from H&M underneath (that was also thrifted).

My floral crop top was also thrifted. I've been waiting weeks to wear it because it's thicker and 3 quarter length so it has been far too hot in Georgia for ant of that! My necklace was a gift and it has my birthstone in it! I think it just adds a little something to the outfit. I also added a silver ring that I've had for ages! It's also really hard for me to find rings because my hands are so small but this one fits perfectly!
I again went with a golden-bronze eye look. It's been my go-to lately. A youtube tutorial will be up this week on it and I'm actually really happy with it.
That's it! As always - I hope you enjoyed this post and get ready for this blog to move onto the NEXT LEVEL with photos! I'm very excited and I hope you are too.

The Orange Dress
Monday, August 17, 2015
Hello!
I'm back with a new outfit post!
I'm going to be honest with you - I haven't had the best summer. I graduated from college in May and I haven't had the best luck finding a job hence the reason why I started this blog! (not to make money but it's something fun to do and take my mind off the whole job applying process). But the reason I'm telling you this is because when I'm feeling down I try and wear really bright colors - hence the reason for this dress! And I must say - this is the perfect summer dress!
I actually received this dress from a friend because it shrunk in the wash and was too small for her. Lucky me! She originally got it from Kohl's. It is a little short of me but I still wear it because it's so comfy and such a vibrant color. The detailing is also beautiful and it has a slip underneath, which makes it the perfect everyday dress!
I got the necklace about a year ago at Old Navy for around 10 dollars. I love the length and the tassel at the end! It goes with so many things and I'm sure you'll see it in a ton of blog posts. For my shoes I wore my trusty Target sneakers I got for 5 dollars on sale last month. I've worn them almost everyday this summer since I've gotten them.
Well that's it! I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll see you on Wednesday.

MY FIRST CROP TOP
Tuesday, August 11, 2015
Hello! I'm back with yet another outfit post!
I normally post Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (and occasionally on Thursday's if I have a video) but tomorrow is my 23rd birthday! Wooo! So I thought I'd post my outfit today.
I'm thinking now that I've been really enjoying this I'm going to try and post two outfit posts a week (or something else fashion related) and one beauty post a week but we will see!
Onto my outfit...
I'll definitely be the first admit it that I am not much of a crop top fan. I think other people can pull them off but not me! But I've been interested in trying them for a while now and I found this cute black one for only 1$ at the thrift store! I love thrifting because it allows me to try trends I don't want to spend a ton of money on - like crop tops! They are half a shirt -- why do I have to pay 20 dollars for one?? But what I really like about this top is the lace detail on the sleeves!
As you can see... my skirt is also the perfect twirling skirt! I got it from Urban Outfitters probably a year ago but you can find the same skirt here for a lot less than what I paid (thanks vinted). My shoes are just plain black flats from Target that I've had for ages but they fit me perfectly!
As for make-up I decided to try something a little different than what I normally go for - a pink lipstick! I own quite a few but I never seem to wear them and I'm not sure why. I always feel like people are staring at me when I wear lipstick (which I know in reality they are not) but I really liked how it looked the other day. But that is it for my simple outfit and I hope you enjoyed this post!

The Perfect Floral Dress
Friday, August 7, 2015
Hello!
Today I’m bringing to you another outfit post! Despite the
heat, I headed outside to a new location to shoot some photos. I really liked
how they turned out.
Everyone always says you need a little black dress in your
wardrobe, which I think is true. But I also think you need a perfect floral
dress! You’ll probably notice from outfit posts that I love a good floral pattern and this dress has the most adorable
one! I had a meeting today so I decided to wear something a little nicer and
this dress is always a safe choice.
I actually got this dress at Nordstrom last summer during
their huge sale (and I had a gift card!) and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by
how versatile it is. I love that it has sleeves as well as a higher neckline.
It’s perfect for almost any occasion! Plus, the pattern is just perfect.
For my shoes I decided to wear some oxfords I thrifted last
summer as well. I have very small feet so I was shocked that these fit me! I
think they give this dress a nice Vintage feel as well, which is something I
try and strive for.
I also thrifted my necklace a long time ago. It’s absolutely
my favorite necklace. I wear it constantly. I don’t really wear large statement
necklaces but this one gives just enough of a statement to not be overwhelming.
As for make-up I didn’t wear too much today, just a brown shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid, bb cream (whattup SPF!), blush and some mascara. I liked how simple this look is
and I think it is becoming my everyday look.
What is your go-to dress or pattern?
Let me know what you think in the comments down below!
